GOT BUGS???

floridaFlorida is one of the most beatuiful places in the United States, however, along with the lush landscape and beautiful climate come  unwanted visitors and guests.  Without the pest control industry in Florida it would be un-inhabitable.   The lush landscape and lawns help to protect our ground water by filtering polutants and giving off oxygen and need to be protected.  There are thousands of insect species throughout our state.  Not all insects are bad!  There are several beneficial species of insects such as earwigs, spiders, and ground beetles that help to control other insects in the environment.  However, there are several insects such as chinch bugs, sod webworms, scale, and mealy bugs that are damaging to our environment.  These turf and plant damaging insects are generally easy to control with early detection and proper planning.  Cultural practices such as mowing, irrigation, and proper fertilization are essential but without combining chemical control they ruin nature.
