Lawn Service Program
There are so many options in Florida when it comes to choosing proper turf and plants to meet your needs! The lawn is an integral part of a landscape. A beautiful lawn can attract lots of good attention and help to raise property value, while contrasting, a poor lawn can significantly depreciate a property aesthetically and economically. Lawns not only help a property to look better but have beneficial qualities such as filtering pollutants from the enviroment and providing oxygen.
Proper cultural practices such as irrigation and mowing are very important but without a good maintenance program of fertilization, insect control and weed control there will be future problems.

Proper fertilization of any lawn grass is an important component of the best management practices of your home lawn. Fertilization and other cultural practices influence the overall health of your lawn, and can reduce or increase its vulnerability to numerous stresses, including weeds, insects, and disease.
Maintaining a good-quality lawn requires a properly planned fertility program. Different lawns require different amounts of fertilizers and depending on the clients’ expectations we have several programs available. A well fertilized lawn will be thick, vigorous, and dark green in color. Over fertilization can lead to a lawns susceptibility to environmental stresses and insect pressures so it is important to leave it to a trained professional.
The best approach to weed control is a thick and vigorous lawn. The combination of proper fertilization, and cultural practices such as, irrigation and correctly mowing at recommended heights will also help to reduce weed pressures. Our lawn service consists of different herbicide applications throughout the year to keep weeds at a minimum.
Depending on the turf and time of year, lawns are also susceptible to diseases such as brown patch and dollar spot fungus. Excess fertilization and irrigation can lead to the developement and spread of these diseases. The diseases can also be spread by mowing and not cleaning blades in between clients. It is important to identify these diseases properly and treat immediately.

Our lawn service consists of the following:
-
A monthly inspection of your turf to determine what it needs.
-
FERTILIZATION-Throughout the year your lawn needs different applications of slow-release granular fertilizers to meet nutritional requirements for good health. Also, we make applications of liquid fertilizers and supplemental elements when needed to meet the lawns requirements.
-
WEED CONTROL-Throughout the year weed pressures increase and decrease depending on seasons. Different winter and summer annuals will sprout as well as perennials. The best defense against weeds is a healthy and vigorous lawn but there will ALWAYS be weeds present. Spot treatments of weeds throughout the year with different herbicides are made to help minimize further growth.
-
DISEASE CONTROL-Different lawns are also susceptible to diseases such as take all root rot and large patch (brown patch) fungus. It is important that proper cultural practices such as mowing and irrigation are evaluated, however, some diseases re-occur annually in the same spot because they are soil born. Different applications of fungicides will help to control these fungi from spreading and causing more damage.
-
INSECT CONTROL-Pest pressures are one of the most common and damaging problems to lawns in Florida. Different turfs are more susceptible to different insects. Some are more damaging than others and spread much quicker such as sod webworms and chinch bugs. Monthly inspections and applications as needed throughout the year are made to protect your lawn.
-
FIRE ANTS-Most people in Florida have had an encounter with fire ants they will remember for a long time. Many people are highly allergic and can actually go into shoch if stung by too many. Our lawn service includes continuous applications of baits and insecticides to help minimize these populations.
