Ornamental and Shrub Care

066Everybody loves to have a lush and beautiful landscape with lots of color and flowers.  Along with these desires come  high demands of proper irrigation, trimming, and nutrition of the plants.  There are several different types of plants that can be utilized for privacy hedges, some with blooms and others without.  Then there are specimen plants or focal points in a landscape which may require special attention such as gardenia trees.

There are also several plant species susceptible to diseases and bacteria caused by improper cultural practices such as over watering.  These diseases and bacteri can appear in several forms such as fungi, blights, and galls.  Many times these diseases are difficult to diagnose even by trained professionals and sometimes require different sets of eyes.

Our Ornamental service consists of the following:

  • Monthly inspections of all plants to determine if any specific plant requirements need to be met.
  • We mix all products on site and do not make generalized broadcast applications.  We treat all properties different because each property has its individual needs.
  • Throughout the year, plants have different nutritional requirements.  Plants need nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium to maintain good health.  Plants also require minor elements such as iron and magnesium.  Our fertilization program will meet all your plants’ needs.
  • Also, throughout the year pest pressures increase and decrease depending on climate.  Plants are treated with contact and systemic insecticides as well as horticultural oils as needed to help prevent damage.
  • Different plants are susceptible to diseases.  With the combination of proper cultural practices and the use of fungicides, damage to plants is reduced.
